    Martina var en almindelig teenager i en hyggelig provinsby. Men efter få måneder i Svendborgs narkotika-miljø døde hun af en overdosis heroin, som vennen gav hende i halspulsåren. Sagen var omtalt i alle landets aviser. Men hvad var baggrunden? Hvordan kan sådan noget ske?

    Lilian Hoffmann, Martinas mor, fortæller om Martinas harmoniske barndom og ungdom. Da hun bliver 15 år, får hun smag for at gå i byen og forelsker sig i en fyr, der holder til i Svendborgs narko-miljø.

    Inden længe er Martinas forældre klar over, at hun er ude på et skråplan. Hun ryger hash, pjækker fra skole og er pludselig ligeglad med alle sine gamle interesser.

    Trods forældrenes ihærdige indsats lykkes det ikke at redde Martina. Den 14. maj 1991 dør hun i en snusket lejlighed.
