Description

A course on violence typically explores the various forms of violence that exist in society, including physical violence, emotional abuse, sexual violence, and more.Through this course, students will learn about  the cycle of violence, the life lessons of violence, self-help groups, and how the experience of violence once lived affects the victim's future relationships. This course delves into the complex phenomenon of violence, exploring its causes, manifestations, and far-reaching impacts on individuals, communities, and societies, and strategies for prevention and intervention. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students will examine the psychological, sociological, and cultural dimensions of violence, including domestic violence  and global conflicts.Key topics include the root causes of violence, such as trauma, and  the role of  technology, and institutions in perpetuating or mitigating violence. This course is ideal for students, professionals, and advocates seeking to foster safer, more equitable communities. Students will be able to study via films too.
