For an effective team: Clear goals, Collaboration, focus and commitment - results orientedResearch shows that the common characteristics of high-performance teams are guiding team rules. Team rules include an agreement that outlines what the team wants to do, why it is important, and how the team will work to achieve the result. Rules are the writing down of the common understanding on certain points. They have a dynamic structure that can be changed when needs differ. In this study, participants will know the characteristics of an effective team and use the strategies they have learned to create effective teams and their members in order to be an effective team.Effective teams meet or exceed the standards (quantity, quality and timeliness) expected by the team's customers. A team's customers may be internal customers - that is, other teams or individuals within the organisation - and/or external customers.Effective teams work together well and get better as time goes on. They learn how each individual team member operates and become skilled in coordinating their activities. They monitor each other's performance and catch mistakes, and they back each other up and offer support and help where needed. Effective teams positively contribute to the learning and well-being of each individual team member.
