Learn how to model, texture, light and render in Blender like an industry pro.

    What you'll learn

You will learn how to become a proficient modeller using Blender, a free to use 3D modelling program.

You will learn techniques commonly used in the video Games Industry.

You will learn how to apply UV co-ordinates and apply materials to your props and your scene.

You will learn how to gather additional resources, setup lighting, setup a camera and build a scene for rendering.

    Requirements

No modelling experience is required. This course will teach you from the ground up.

A PC that will run 3D modelling software

    Description

This course has been created and tested up to Blender 4.3 and we’ll continue to update it as and when new versions of Blender is released. Learn from the ground up, how to create AAA assets using Blender, a free to use 3D modelling program. You'll learn it's feature set, and then build a simple scene applying the knowledge you have learned. Build a structure using modular pieces, create props, add lighting, sculpt a small piece of landscape and add a camera. Then render your work to a final image that you can add to your portfolio.Whether you are a budding game artist, a FX artist, a texture artist, or you simply want to print your own models using a 3D printer, Blender can do that for you.Whatever your goals are…Build and create models, and texture assets for video games.Level Designer creating grey box levelsCreate 3D prints for yourself or as a gift.Design your dream garden, extension, or kitchen for your house.Maybe you’re a traditional artist wondering what all this 3D noise is all about and how it can help you (it really can).Or maybe you simply want to experiment with 3D art for pleasure. The course follows a flow that will teach you the core feature set in Blender, and then use those tools in a project that can be shared with renders at the end. Assets will be supplied where required, and I show you where you can obtain free assets to help you with your scene building. I do expect you to put the work in, it's the best way to learn, so I don't give you all the assets, you actually have to make them using what you learn. With a total enrolment of over 18,000 (at the time of writing) across all of my courses, you can be sure that you are in good hands with The ART of Blender. I have over 30 years of experience working in the games industry, and continue to do so, so I have a fountain of knowledge to share with you. If it isn’t in the course, simply ask and I will endeavour to create it and add lectures as and when required.Sign up now. You won't be disappointed!
