Description

Every new climate disaster serves as a stark reminder of our collective challenge. It’s becoming increasingly clear that we are unlikely to meet global climate mitigation targets, and the consequences will be profound. People react to this reality in varied ways—some turn to denial, while others experience anxiety or despair. These are normal responses, but they don’t have to be the end of the story. If you understand the science and acknowledge the high likelihood of falling short, the next step is to accept and prepare for an uncertain and demanding future. While we may not be able to stop climate change as individuals, we can take meaningful actions to better cope with its impacts. This course offers a structured framework to help you plan and prepare for a world increasingly shaped by climate turbulence. It is grounded in the Personal Resilience Plan developed by Remi Charron in his book Plan for a Turbulent Future: Your Roadmap to Personal Resilience in a Changing Climate. The course focuses on setting SMART goals in five critical areas of personal resilience:Fitness and HealthLearning and EducationCommunity BuildingFinancial PlanningPhysical PreparationJoin this course to explore practical strategies for strengthening your resilience and building a roadmap to thrive in the face of a changing climate.
