Description
This course is intended for candidates who target a band score of 7.0+ in IELTS Speaking. Candidates should already be familiar with the format of the IELTS Speaking Test.This course focuses specifically on the criteria of lexical resource of the IELTS Speaking band descriptors for band levels 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0. This course will break down what examiners are listening for in IELTS Speaking, decode what the band descriptors actually mean, the vocabulary you need to achieve your target band score and what vocabulary you should avoid. This course is divided into four components of lexical resource. 1: Idiomatic Vocabulary (Idioms, Phrasal Verbs, Slang, Similes)2: Less Common Vocabulary3: Paraphrasing4: CollocationsEach section will explain the different types of vocabulary with examples to help you succeed in IELTS Speaking with quizzes and practice tests built in so you can test what you have learned. This course will also highlight many of the common mistakes that candidates make during their Speaking Test. As a bonus we will also show you some techniques you can use to help improve fluency during the long turn in Part 2 of the IELTS Speaking test. *Please note the IELTS Speaking questions used in the couse are not current IELTS Speaking questions.
