Description

The United States has a long history of immigration, shaping its cultural, economic, and demographic landscape. Immigration to the U.S. has occurred in various waves, driven by diverse factors including political unrest, economic opportunities, and social conditions in different parts of the world. The early phases of U.S. immigration were largely unrestricted, with millions of people arriving from Europe in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
