Learning Objective: At the end of the course, you will be able to understand the various concepts related to Credit Decisioning for Digital Lending. Credit decisioning in digital lending is a structured process that ensures informed, risk-optimized lending decisions while maintaining compliance and transparency. It combines automated workflows with human oversight to deliver efficient and accountable approvals. At the heart of Credit Decisioning is the scoring process wherein customers are scored against various attributes. Such attributes could be related to Demography (such as Age, Education, and Income levels), Financials (such as Profitability and cash Cashflows), Group strength, and Collaterals. In this course, we aim to get an understanding of the Credit Decisioning Process, right from the stage approvals are initiated based on scores and other attributes to the stage where a decision is taken and communicated to the borrower. We shall also try to understand the different components of automated credit decisioning wherein digital lenders use completely automated and seamless processes to collect, process the data, and take Go-No Go Decisions instantaneously based on pre-configured algorithms. We shall also understand the different components and considerations that go into the scoring process. At the end of the course, the participant is expected to have a reasonable understanding of the mechanics of scoring and automated credit decision process, which is the back bone of Digital Lending.
