Hi, I am Tony Knight and having been head of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Australia for over 20 years, I had the pleasure of teaching some of the best Actors to come out of Australia. Including Cate Blanchett, Sam Worthington, Sarah Snook, Alex O’Loughlin and Miranda Otto.I was educated at Sydney Grammar School and trained at the Drama Centre London, which includes in its alumni Colin Firth, Frances de la Tour, Paul Bettany, Penelope Wilton, Michael Fassbinder and Tom Hardy. Tony has considerable knowledge, experience and expertise as a professional acting teacher and director. Tony has been the Program Leader for the Musical Theatre (B.A. Hons.) course at the LaSalle College of the Arts, Singapore, developing and implementing a new curriculumThis introductory course is a starting point for character development and will give you vital information on how to audition better and moreover to become a better actor.We’ll be looking at: Research & Development, the 7 acting questions,Carl Jung 4 Human Aspects, Rudolf Laban’s 8 Working Actions and Actions and Objectives.It is important to watch every lesson in order to get the most out of this course. There are materials to download and upon completion of the course you’ll have the opportunity to record a monologue and send to me to get feedback.Please enjoy the course and I look forward to helping you with character development and watching your monologues.
