Description
This course is suitable for beginners. It is a step by step guide to using willow to weave up your own angel. There are repeat videos of some of the elements of the making process with close up filming and some videos shot from above to ensure a clarity of understanding of the techniques involved. The video covers the material of willow and gives some practical information about the sizes and variety of willow that you may have available to use. We consider jigs ( a construction used to set and position the sticks in order to create the framework) and how to construct simple ones to use in making these endearing creations.. You will be learning to make an angel and the course includes videos that cover the making of 3 different sizes. We look at some ways that the techniques can be varied to change the style and appearance of the angels. We look at ways of scaling the making of the angel and how we need to adapt the size and length of sticks accordingly. There is some advice on the finishing and display of these items, including ways to preserve them against the elements especially if they are going outside in all weathers. The making of these is something that I have taught for many years at in-person events and is one of my most popular courses. I am sure you will love getting to grips with the techniques involved with the making of these angels.
