EGAD: Earth Guard Alien Defense

Eddie King is a struggling Elvis Tribute Artist in a rundown dinner theater in the Great Smoky Mountains. His life is a series of inconsistent stage performances and one-night-stands with drunken tourists. Same day, different jumpsuit. That all changes when he meets Priscilla Day, a secret agent for the clandestine organization known as Earth Guard Alien Defense, or E.G.A.D for short. Within its ranks, a menagerie of Earth’s cryptid wonders defends the planet. The team covets the power of the Starseed, a mysterious alien entity that empowers select humans with evolutionary gifts far beyond humanity’s current capabilities.

The Starseed chose Eddie as a host when he was a child, but the power remained dormant. Now it is needed more than ever to repel an imminent invasion of Earth by the Gray aliens

But Eddie has no idea how to activate the Starseed and isn’t sure E.G.A.D has the right guy. Past hosts included great leaders, poets, artists, philosophers, scientists, and innovators, including his idol Elvis Presley. So, why Eddie? Surely the organization is either mistaken or deluded. Or both.

Can Eddie survive angry Sasquatch, ghosts, vampire wannabes, leprechauns, wraiths, Reptilians, and the organization’s insufferably smug Director and solve the mystery of the Starseed in time to save the planet? For Earth’s sake, he’d better.
