Anna Depenbusch is a German singer and musician. Prior to her solo career, she was a background singer for a group called Orange Blue. In 2005, she released her first album that united elements of Pop, Jazz and Chanson. Fans of German pop-chansons should have been familiar with the Hamburg singer-songwriter Anna Depenbusch for some time. With her soulful and lyrically extremely high-quality songs, the 40-year-old has long since made a name and earned a large following. On her newest album she presents the songs of her previous release "The Alphabet of Anna Depenbusch" again in a reduced and puristic form, as a solo on the piano.

"The Andy Williams Christmas Album" was the first Christmas album released by Andy Williams and was issued by Columbia Records in 1963. Featuring classic holiday tunes such as "White Christmas" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", the album was the number one selling Christmas album for 1963 and was certified Gold less than a year after its release. It would eventually achieve Platinum certification in 1986.

Betty Roché performs a remake of her signature song 'Take The "A" Train' on this 1956 release chock full of standards, backed up by Eddie Costa on vibes, trumpeter Conte Candoli, pianist Donn Trenner, bassist Whitey Mitchell and Davey Williams on drums. Despite the fame and success this album and its title song brought Roché, she only released a couple of albums following this one and slipped into obscurity.

D'Angelo and The Vanguard’s highly anticipated and much buzzed about "Black Messiah". Nearly 15 years in the making, the album contains 12 tracks of timeless music with poignant and provocative lyrics that requires repeat listening at maximum volume! On the album, D’Angelo is joined by his band, The Vanguard, alongside Pino Palladino, James Gadson and Questlove on various tracks on the album. All lyrics were written by D’Angelo in addition to Q-Tip and Kendra Foster who both wrote lyrics on several songs.

"Bacalao" is another album by saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis with organist Shirley Scott recorded in 1959 for the Prestige label. The Allmusic review states, "Organ combo soul-jazz was still new and fresh in 1959, and Scott was helping Davis find new ways to interpret very familiar melodies. Although not quite essential, Bacalao is a rewarding example of Davis' ability to thrive in an organ/tenor setting".

At 92, vibraphonist Terry Gibbs proves he's still jamming, demonstrating the sheer joy of performing he's displayed over his incredible eight decade career. On stage he behaves like a exuberant fan of his own band, cheering his accompanists on, punctuating arrangements and solos with non-verbal interjections. That same spirit is in abundance on "92 Years Young", a collection of songs recorded live in Gibbs' living room, each track done in a single take.

He’s since then recorded three albums, won the jury prize at the Jazz à Juan International Jazz Festival, and was nominated for the "Freedman Fellowship" (awarded to the best emerging Australian jazz artist).
