Going behind the scenes with staff at Birmingham New Street station to provide a vivid insight into the variety of situations they face, from flooding to industrial action, irate passengers, parties on the concourse and even nudity on the platforms.
Episode 1
Extensive flooding leaves engineers battling the elements, and stranded passengers start demanding answers. A pregnant woman falls down some steps, leaving customer service assistant JJ concerned for her welfare and needing to close the stairway.
Episode 2
Euston is evacuated during the Friday rush hour, Cross Country driver Andy shows how close his train came to disaster on the tracks, and train dispatcher and former bank manager David imparts his worldly wisdom to a new recruit on his first shift.
Episode 3
The rail mobile detection team discover a high-tech home, complete with running water and TV, illegally erected under an arch. At Euston, there's no rest for Transport Police as they're called on to back up staff and deal with a Royal request.
