There are many films that explain away their sexually explicit nature by stating something along the lines of the film being ‘one woman’s voyage of sexual discovery’ and trying to appear like a deep arthouse snoozer, as if that justifies showing lots of naked flesh. Tinto Brass’ All Ladies Do It is a little different in that, although it is actually about one woman’s voyage of sexual discovery, it relishes in that fact and glorifies it with a sense of wild abandonment and fun not always found in the often po-faced world of erotic cinema.

Originally released in 1992, All Ladies Do It centres around Diana (Claudia Koll), a sexy young woman happily married to Paolo (Paolo Lanza), but Diana has strong desires to explore her sexuality away from her husband. Paolo gets turned on by Diana giving him detailed descriptions of her sexual fantasies but once these fantasies start becoming real Paolo gets jealous and separates from Diana, an outcome which spurs her on to explore her desires with as many different men as she can, although Paolo is still the one she loves.

The main theme of All Ladies Do It is Diana’s sexual liberation and the separation of emotions from the physical act of sex, and once Diana has fully liberated herself and has separated from Paulo she becomes less sympathetic and loses a little of that spark that made her such a fun character to begin with. You could go deeper and look at the moral implications of her actions and analyse about her liberation and the loss of her innocence, blah, blah, blah… but the film doesn’t want you to. Instead it wants you to take what is on the screen at face value and simply enjoy it.

When it comes down to it, All Ladies Do It is a softcore comedy that fetishises women’s backsides – very much so – and isn’t afraid to explore sexuality in a graphic, unfussy way. And be warned – it is graphic, with (obviously fake) erections popping out every few minutes and some extreme close-ups of female genitalia that come very close (literally) to blurring the line between erotica and hardcore porn. Gratuitous? Hell, yeah! But thanks to the stunning Claudia Koll and a supporting cast that aren’t exactly ugly either, you’ll be too enraptured to notice the finer details of the paper-thin plot. Great fun.

A fun mix of softcore eroticism and lighthearted humour, All Ladies Do It succeeds in being an erotic film that is actually erotic.

This must be one of the most erotic films ever made, if you like this, you must see the rest of Tinto Brass movies. Claudia Koll are playing an excellent roll, and she is SO sexy This film are very erotic, without going over the fine line between erotic and porn. I have seen and have most of the Tinto Brass erotic movies that are made, and I must say that I like that kind of movies where the ladies are natural and not filled up with silicon. So if you want an erotic, sexy, hot movie, just get one of Tinto Brass and your evening will be saved. I have seen a lot of other erotic movies form all over the world, and I must say that I liked the erotic movies that came out in the USA in the 1970 was more erotic than the movies that are coming out today. todays movies have no humor.
