Only class weirdo Oscar bonds with Clara over their love for animals. She starts to understand them and is spooked by a guardian black cat, the cue for her distant aunt to invite her to a desolate forest cabin, where she learns about her heritage as 'wild witch', of the orders helping the magical council of Black Ravens to protect wildlife.
