Water is our most precious resource; without it, nothing can survive. Climate, overpopulation and mismanagement are causing both the quantity and quality of water to change. The Water Apocalypse looks at the resource itself – how much there is, how much is available for human use, where it is, and some of its unique properties, for water is like no other substance.
Part 2: Man vs Water

Man vs. Water examines the troubled relationships between human populations and the water they need to survive – and why there seems to be enough water, but often in the wrong place at the wrong time in the wrong amounts. Why have so many well-intentioned projects gone disastrously awry while others have succeeded triumphantly?
Part 3: Watering the Future
The water that exists now – and has existed for all of earth’s time – is all there is. We cannot make new water; it is not a renewable resource. It will have to be our ingenuity and ability to adapt that will rescue humanity from a world water crisis that is gaining momentum.Watering the Future looks at the efforts that governments and ordinary people are making to solve the problems of water – from the innovative to the bizarre, from the simple to the complex, from the tiny to the truly massive.
