This anthology film features a series of stories with the common theme of the London subway system, known locally as "the tube." While certain contributions are playful, others are thoughtful and warm or even highly dramatic. Tying a number of the segments together is an aggressively helpful station guard (Frank Harper) who appears at various times. Though a few of the tales are emotionally wrenching, most deal with humorous situations involving everyday people.
