Harold Bissonette (Fields), an inept grocer who is constantly badgered by his family, dreams of escaping to the California sunshine. A small inheritance from his Uncle Bean tempts Bissonette to sell everything and buy his dream orange ranch – sight unseen. After making the journey to California, the family quickly realizes they have been swindled and chaos ensues. Filled with some of the funniest dialogue ever to hit the silver screen, this classic comedy from director Norman Z. McLeod (Alice in Wonderland) showcases W.C. Fields at his finest!
