Dark Waters is a biographical drama film that tells the story of Robert Bilott, a corporate lawyer who takes on a case against DuPont, a chemical company, after discovering that they have been contaminating the water supply of a small town in West Virginia with a toxic chemical called PFOA, also known as C8. Bilott's investigation and subsequent lawsuits expose the devastating health effects of PFOA on the community, leading to a major environmental scandal and a landmark legal case.
