STAAD Foundation Advanced 2025 (25.00.00.287) | 1.3 Gb
The Bentley's STAAD development team is pleased to announce the availability of STAAD Foundation Advanced 2025 (25.00.00.287). This release represents the new generation STAAD Foundation product and has some enhancements over the capabilities of the last released 24.00.01 version.
What's new in STAAD Foundation Advanced 2025 (25.00.00.287) - Date: June 28, 2025
The main enhancement in this release is as follows:
Pile caps designed to ACI 318 -14 & 19 and IS 456 2000 codes.
Pile Caps can now be designed in accordance with ACI 318 2014 & 2019 and IS 456 2000 codes. This feature addition completes the foundation analysis and design offering for all major types of foundations for buildings and framed structures for these codes.
The pile cap foundation object supports the following new capabilities.
- Model pile cap foundations of multiple configurations at any angle orientation with respect to the global X and Y/Z axes.
- Analyze foundations using finite elements (flexible method) in addition to the traditional rigid body assumption.
- Automatic determination of pile configuration based on set templates. Generation of plot to trace the reasoning behind the choice of the final pile configuration.
- Pile punching checks.
Enhancements:
STAAD Foundation Advanced 2025 includes the following enhancements and minor changes.
- Application can now be launched directly from within STAAD.Pro version 2025.
- Pile punching checks for pile supported mat foundations.
- Reduced calculated punching shear stresses by considering soil bearing pressure within the punching perimeter.
- Specification of pile diameters smaller than 12 inches or 300 mms.
Defect Corrections:
- There were instances when the data was not saved or retained properly while saving or making changes to the file. This led to the file not reopening or displaying unexpected data.
- Finite element analysis results were not read, even if available, when errors were reported during analysis.
- There was an error in reporting of factors of safety for sliding and overturning in the post analysis check summary report.
- Crash while clicking on the Select button in the Design Properties page for choosing load combinations that have more than one envelope type.
- An error in the selection of stirrup reinforcement diameter for pedestals.
- A unit conversion error in the calculation of area of reinforcement required for flexure, when the ACI metric design code is used but bars are selected from the imperial database.
- Version 2024 failed to open STAAD.Pro files with moving load cases.
- A tolerance error resulting in incorrect reinforcement bar detailing display.
STAAD Foundation Advanced a software package for the analysis and design of a variety of foundations. These include general foundation types such as isolated, combined footings, pile caps, slab on grade or on piles (mat foundations), octagonal, strap, and, plant foundations such as vertical vessel and heat exchanger foundations. A part of the STAAD family of products, STAAD Foundation Advanced can import and update the geometry, loads, and reactions from a STAAD.Pro model after which it will design the foundation type that we want at those supports.
