PTC is pleased to announce the availability new version of Creo View 9.0.0.0. This software enables you to view and interrogate ECAD designs and 3D MCAD products and models, assemblies, drawings, images, and documents. You can collaborate on products of different information types without the native applications.
What’s New in Creo View MCAD
View State Compare: Model Annotation Comparison Improvements
Improvements are made to compare the bounding box of the model annotations to identify non-semantic changes. User Interface Location: Tools > View State Compare.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now identify changes to content, for example annotation placement and note styling, by using the bounding box in the comparison. This provides a more holistic comparison of the content changes.
Removed Support for Creo View Stereoscopic View
Stereoscopic view functionality is no longer available.
Creo View Adobe Plug-in Supports 64-bit Adobe Products
The Creo View Plug-in for Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat now supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Adobe Reader DC, Adobe Reader Classic Track and Adobe Acrobat. With this improvement, if Adobe automatically updates Adobe Acrobat DC from 32-bit to 64-bit, or if you install the 64-bit version, Creo View can continue to open PDF documents.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now use the 64-bit version of Adobe products. Creo View continues to load PDF documents and allows you to view and review PDF drawings or documents.
Platform Support Update (MCAD & ECAD)
Support for the following application versions is added:
- Windows 11
- Windows Server 2022
Support for the following application versions is removed:
- Windows Server 2016
What’s New in Creo View MCAD Adapters
Creo Parametric: Support for Explode Line Conversion and Display
Support is added for the conversion and the visibility control of the explode lines that are associated to All States in Creo Parametric. When you activate the view states in Creo View, the explode lines become visible, if they exist in the associated view.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
This improvement helps achieve a correct representation of an exploded view of Model Based Design. This results in accurate interpretation of the view created for a part list and an assembly, or for a disassembly view.
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling: Support is Added for Extended Positioning Assembly Publishing
The Creo Elements/Direct Modeling adapter now supports extended positioning assemblies. When publishing positioning assemblies, the adapter will automatically fall back to the extended positioning of assemblies as the selective instance is defined in the assembly context. User Interface Location: The Recipe Editor for Creo Elements/Direct Modeling: Advanced > Miscellaneous.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
Positioning assembly processing can now be utilized for assemblies that contain selective instances which could not be published previously. Administrators no longer need to proactively identify design practices that require an extended positioning assembly processing, as this is now automatically identified by the adapter.
