MSC Apex Iberian Lynx Feature Pack 2 with Documentation | 3.5 Gb
MSC Software Corporation, a part of Hexagon, has introduced new interoperability enhancements between MSC Apex and MSC Nastran. The implementation of a new Faceted Body Toolset enables CAE analysts to automatically regenerate geometry from meshes without the need for manual CAD model recreation.
MSC Apex Iberian Lynx Feature Pack 2 - Date: July 24, 2019
MSC Apex provides the unique capability to generate 2D and 3D geometry bodies from the definition of nodes and elements a legacy Finite Element (FE) model. Simply import an MSC Nastran BDF file into MSC Apex and use the new Faceted Body toolset to create geometry from mesh in only a few clicks. You can then further edit the geometry, performing Boolean operations and partitioning the body into cells to ultimately re-mesh it with proper element size and type choices. The resulting geometry, mesh, and model attributes are all then generatively linked as a native MSC Apex model.
Work smarter with native ID interoperability
You can now work smarter with MSC Nastran models within MSC Apex by using ID management extensions. Users can now access all parts, nodes, elements, and coordinate systems within a model through IDs and locate a specific object and manage renumbering efficiently in large assemblies.
Additional MSC Nastran features include support for joints as well as the definition of non-structural mass. Engineers working with legacy model modifications and using MSC Nastran are encouraged to use this latest version of MSC Apex and enjoy the productivity gain
As a CAE product, MSC Apex is unique in that it has a modern, user-friendly interface that does not rely on the knowledge of analysis-specific terms. As far as the help system, it incorporates video tutorials into the application to show how features work and makes these videos easily accessible from the user interface itself.
Future of engineering involves engineers being able to perform a broader variety of tasks. Analysis tasks that previously were handled by specialized departments are being transitioned to mainstream engineers and designers. This means learning new software tools but because of time and budget constraints, they often do not have time to dedicate to formal classroom training. Software applications, like MSC Apex, that are intuitive and self-explanatory wherever possible will allow engineers to achieve productivity across an increased breadth of subjects. Future CAE software must be designed to be easy to use with a flatter learning curve so that engineers can solve problems faster.
MSC Apex- Unified CAE Environment for Virtual Product Development
MSC Software is one of the ten original software companies and a global leader in helping product manufacturers to advance their engineering methods with simulation software and services. As a trusted partner, MSC Software helps companies improve quality, save time, and reduce costs associated with design and test of manufactured products. Academic institutions, researchers, and students employ MSC’s technology to expand individual knowledge as well as expand the horizon of simulation.
MSC Software’s engineering simulation technology is used by leading manufacturers for linear and nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), advanced material modeling, acoustics, fluidstructure interaction (FSI), multi-physics, optimization, fatigue and durability, multi-body dynamics, controls, and manufacturing process simulation. The company’s products accurately and reliably predict how products will behave in the real world to help engineers design more innovative products - quickly and cost effectively.
