The Team Alias is pleased to announce the availability of Alias AutoStudio 2023.1.1 is the next generation premium solution for automotive design, styling and technical surfacing. This hotfix addresses customer-reported issues and potential security vulnerabilities.

Alias 2023.1.1 Hotfix Release Notes - Date: March 31, 2023

Security-related fixes
- Updated to Zlib version 1.2.13 due to a security vulnerability reported in Zlib version 1.2.12. ALS-16665
Modeling
- Fixed an issue that caused an error when saving a .wire file using its original name after double-clicking it to start Alias. ALS-16904
- Resolved a crash caused by using the Subdiv Insert Edge tool to insert perpendicular edges (Insert Mode set to Perpendicular) in certain cases. ALS-17015
- References that include nested reference files now work as expected. ALS-17014
Data Transfer
- An update to ATF version 11.26.0 provides newly supported import file format versions, which include JT 10.8 and Parasolid 34 and 35. See Alias supported file formats. ALS-17011
Learning Edition
- Exporting User Preferences (Preferences > User Preferences > Export) now saves shelf and hotkey preferences as expected in Alias Learning Edition. ALS-16899

This update also includes Curve and COS Offset tool enhancements, new and updated Dynamo and Dynamo Player scripts, and several newly supported versions of file formats.

Alias 2023 What's New


With Alias 2023 we added the brand new Reform Tool, which creates SubDs from out of a triangulated mesh, like a scan. We also completely reworked the Round Tool and added a totally unique crease edge modifier.
