The Atair product team is pleased to announce the availability of SimSolid 2019.5.1. This release include new structural adhesives,new dynamics results and new HTML based help.
Highlights
- Hotfix release.
Improvements
- Improved–improved solution adaption processwhen using “Adapt to thin solids”.It should now be faster and more robust.
- Improved–connection process. There is now no auto generation for connections on importing new parts into existing or new design study. Instead a pop-up dialog “Add connections” with all standard optionsis displayed. This allows a more consistent set of connections to be applied under user control.
- Improved–rendering speed for boundary condition and connection symbols.
- Improved–“Review part connections” dialog. We nowallow deletion of seam welds and adhesives the same way as general connections.
- Improved–error messages. We have added an automaticpop-up of the “Review parts” dialog for several cases of numerical instability. Itcontains list of problematic parts and options to zoom in, suppress, or delete parts.
- Improved–virtual pin connector. There is a new Slidingpin type along with the previous Rotatingand Bondedoptions. Slidingpins can rotate around the axis of the cylindrical faces (sliding in circumferential direction) as well asslide along the axis.

- Fixed–data corruption during adaptation to thin solids. Added auto repair for existing corrupted projects.
- Fixed–contact conditions duplication. It happened for very specific scenarios during importing parts into new design study.
