ADINA System 9.4.2

ADINA System 9.4.2 | 1.0 Gb

ADINA R&D Inc., is pleased to announce the availability of ADINA System 9.4.2. This software offers a wide range of capabilities based on reliable and efficient finite element procedures.

ADINA System 9.4 Release Notes (for version 9.4.2) - July 2018:

Sparse solvers

The sparse solvers have been substantially improved in version 9.4. The solution time required is often reduced by a factor of 4 or more for large models, and the memory required is also reduced. Because the 3D-iterative solver and subspace iteration solver use the sparse solver, the solution time required by these solvers is also reduced.
The sparse solvers also make better use of the underlying CPU architecture, so the improvement in the sparse solvers is greater when using later CPU architectures (for example, the Ivy Bridge or later architectures).

About ADINA R & D, Inc. The development of ADINA was started, and the foundation established, by Dr. K.J. Bathe in 1974. Soon thereafter, in 1975, Dr. K.J. Bathe joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1986, he founded ADINA R&D, Inc. for fostering the development of the ADINA system. He is a leading world-renowned researcher in the field of finite element analysis who has authored several textbooks and numerous journal papers. Dr. Bathe leads the development of the ADINA system.
