Christmas is a busy time for everyone so we always try to find quick or small makes for you at this time of year when there are so many other things demanding your time and attention. First up is the delightful Dancing Penguins quilt. You could make it smaller and make the blocks into a cushion cover if you need a last minute Christmas present. The Silent Night Table Runner and Mats will look great adorning your table this festive season, or the Morris Holiday Wall Hanging could also look great as a table centre. If you are looking for last minute makes, the Journal Cover might be the job. The Sweet Festive Treats Wall Hanging will give you a chance to practise your foundation piecing skills, while Stuart Hillard has designed a delightful block in this month’s Stashbusting. Christmas isn’t always the easiest time for some of us though, so let’s also look ahead to the New Year with the Springtime Zest quilt. Helen reviews the recent West of England Quilt and Textile Show in Bristol while we also find out more about the Pop Up Antique Quilt Show featuring antique quilts from the collection of Christopher Wilson-Tate. If you’ve been good this year, maybe Father Christmas has promised you a Personal Cutting Machine? Kerry Foster tells us more about the leading ones in the market. Louisa Goult tells us about her First and Last quilts (watch out for a new BOM designed by Louisa starting in the January issue!) and we meet Trevithick Quilters in Introducing.
