Whereas side hustles used to be considered a 4-letter word in the agency world, forward-thinking agencies such as Eighty-Eight are leading a new trend by actively encouraging their employees to bring their side hustles "out of the shadows", giving their employees the freedom to pursue other creative passions. The Applied Arts Fall 2018 issue investigates this burgeoning movement, profiling a number of creatives who are successfully managing a creative side hustle in tandem with their creative day job.
