Rachel Jessee by Ruben Marin

Rachel Jessee is NYC based, freelance fire performer, actor, dancer, choreographer and director. She has brought to life hundreds of performances from Los Angeles to New York, Las Vegas, Italy, Africa and more. From nightlife venues to TV, film, theater, concerts, fashion shows, print work, Burning Man productions and guest appearances. Her fusion of skills and passion to innovate, integrate & collaborate is the foundation of her diversity.
Coming from a dance background, Rachel is classically trained from the Royal Academy of Dance and studied ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary ballet, Irish, Salsa, Tango, belly dance, hip-hop and choreography. She studied and performed in theater, musical theater and black box theater, most recently having studied with The American Mime Theater NYC and Terry Schreiber Studios NYC.
Specializing in fire performance since 2003, she has had the privilege to create nearly 20 fully choreographed fire production pieces as well as collaborate independently with innovative production companies like Zen Arts, Belluscious Productions, Flambeaux Fire, Aya Serpent, Cirque-Tacular Entertainment and The Box NYC. She has been featured in commercials for the NFL, Dos Equise and Miley Cyrus.
A career in magic from 2005-2009 gave her the opportunity to headline as female magician "Scarlett" in Las Vegas for 1 year. With a nightly full production magic show, escaped over 200 times from the Up-side-down Houdini Water Torture Cell. In 2008 she was awarded “Female Illusionist of the Year” by the International Society of Magicians. She performed at the legendary Magic Castle in the Palace of Mystery, and made TV appearances in Masters of Illusion, America's Got Talent & The Jerry Lewis telethon.
In Italy she began to work in fashion show direction and choreography for Paul Mitchell Italy as well as providing variety entertainment for nightlife venues in Firenze and Montecatini. During her time in Italy she also developed her work in the fitness industry as a trainer, fitness model & trained with three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Juri Chechi with Sellfit developing equipment formation.
Now based in NYC, Rachel continues to develop her skills, create and collaborate with artists in film, theater, dance and photography. She is currently performing in a new two-person telepathy and mentalism act with magician Eric Walton.
