Nelly Skoufatoglou by Dirk Nouvel

Nelly Skoufatoglou was born and raised in Greece. She is the only child of an Australian mother and a Greek father. After her parents' separation Nelly lived with her mother. Nelly is young, university educated and well- travelled. When the financial crisis reached Greece, she had a fast growing career as a fashion and lifestyle writer and editor and worked in various media outlets. Within a few years she experienced the full gamut of businesses closing, personnel being reduced to a bare minimum, salary reductions and work entitlements being taken away. Amidst these developments Nelly decided to make a fresh start elsewhere. In August 2014, she move to Australia leaving her mother in Athens.
