Photographer Guillaume Gaubert and model Léna Ballayre teamed up for this editorial titled, ‘Un Jour d’Été‘. Gaubert is a French photographer with Argentinian origins. He started photography when his grandmother gave him his deceased grandfather’s old Leica camera. Since then, he hasn’t stopped shooting everything from landscapes to portrait and fashion. He describes his work as “nostalgic, always trying to bring back past eras and their feelings with photographs.”.
For this series, Gaubert met Léna at the train station and they went to this beautiful place with small cabins all along the coast spending the afternoon strolling by and shooting photos where the time stands still until the sun disappeared. He wanted this shoot to have a strong nostalgic feel, inspired by the old magazines from the 80’s like Playboy and LUI. The incredible light and location as well as Léna’s aura really helped achieve the perfect look.
