The music of Winter's Tale is deliberately inspired by the narrative-poetic spirit of Romanticism, paints pictures of sound, tells musical stories. Suddenly, a mischievous goblin appears with Latin American rhythms and invites us to dance. Then none other than George Frideric Handel enters the stage with dignity to serenade the king. And what a serenade…! Of course, Mr Bach is not neglected either! It is a musical journey through time and space, at once profound and entertaining, both tradition-conscious and refreshingly irreverent.

Jazz compositions in classical sound, Bach polyphony and Afro-Cuban syncopation, open improvisation and complex arrangements: echoes of the most diverse influences between the two Americas and Europe become audible in the quartet's music. The whole richness of sound of the different string instruments is explored, as vocals, as percussion, as soloist, as orchestra, violin, viola, cello and piano resound in the most diverse ways.
