Okay, okay, of course you shouldn't take the title of Thees Uhlmann's new live album "100,000 Songs Live in Hamburg" literally. But 23 songs on 2 CDs, or 3 LPs are already a decent announcement.

The eponymous track "100,000 Songs" comes from Uhlmann's last album "Junkies & Scientologists", with which the 48-year-old made it to number 2 in the German charts three years ago. Since then, the former Tomte frontman has been on the stages of the republic with his band, if it was allowed, to play as many concerts as possible.

The live album "100,000 Songs Live in Hamburg" was ultimately created in the former home of the Berlin-based Thees Uhlmann. The tracklist reads like a best-of compilation of songs from the singer and guitarist's first three albums. "For spawning and dying, the salmon go up the river", "& Jay-Z sings Us a song", "Five years not Sung", just to name a few. To the delight of many fans, some Tomte songs now regularly make it into the setlist. Among other things, "Korn & Sprite" and "Schreit den Namen meiner Mutter" ensure maximum euphoria on this recording, not only among long-time companions of Thees Uhlmann's career.
