Martin Högberg - Patos (2021) [Official Digital Download 24/96]

Organist Thomas Torstrup and guitarist Martin Hö released their debut album as a duo in 2018. Now they are ready with the second album recorded on the New Brothers Torkildsen organ in Sakshaug church . On the album they have star-saxophonist John Paul inderberg who colors the music in his characteristic way.

The music can be categorized as a spherical, vibrant and impulsive form of chamber jazz inspired by hymns, folk melodies and jazz, played with musical profit and a dose of improvisational curiosity.

Their impulses from several genres such as jazz and rock are taken care of by Martin H@gberg's eclectic guitar playing, and one can also hear sources of inspiration such as Hank Marvin, Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix in their music.

The trio has been active since 2013, played at several festivals and had several church concerts in Norway.
