Charlie Lovell-Jones debuted at a sold-out Royal Festival Hall aged 15. He has since soloed with major orchestras in the UK, Ireland, and Japan, where he received public commendation from the Sendai International Music Competition Jury Chair. He recently competed in the Shanghai Isaac Stern International Competition and performed at the Andermatt Festival.
In exploring his love for music’s expressive possibilities, Charlie Lovell-Jones won Oxford University’s Gibbs Prize for the highest 1st-class Musicology Degree. He is now a Bicentenary Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with his long-term teacher Rodney Friend MBE.
