After mastering virtuosity and humor, the violinist and pianist have changed course with Montevago, an album inspired by electronic textures, indie rock as well as the migration crisis, pushing their instruments to the limits more than ever before. For the past ten years, Théo Ceccaldi and Roberto Negro’s collaboration in Paris has generated sparks on the European jazz scene. In addition to the violinist and pianist mixing it up in their respective groups or within the Tricollective ensemble, they form a duo that combines chamber music and jazz, erudition and derision. This was the case with the album Babies (2015), which was mainly improvised on stage, and then with the Danse de salon program, through which they challenged the tradition of minuets, jigs, and other quadrilles for two seasons.

For the four members of the Flash Pig Quartet, 2019 will have a special meaning. It is during this year that they will blow the candles of the tenth anniversary of the creation of the band, with as a gift their third album, "Year of the Pig". Listening to Beatnik Or Not To Be, second album of the young Parisian Elias Dris, we can predict a bright future, because this artist is very talented. Author, composer, multi instrumentalist, producer and graphic designer, Elias Dris solo manages his small company with talent, including recruiting excellent musicians to accompany him on this new album. What surprises in the first listen of his songs, is the tone of his voice. She is very feminine (like her frontal photo that illustrates the cover), as well as her aerial music with refined elegance.

Hope and Charity in 1971 shortly after a label switch to Sussex Records. Bailey and Hilliard would occasionally sing backing vocals on Zulema’s albums, though. Her self-titled solo album included the song “American Fruit, African Roots” and a cover of “If This World Were Mine.” Zulema started touring as opening act for major stars like Bill Withers. Diana Panton was discovered by the Canadian multi-instrumentalist Don Thompson at the tender age of 19. He recommended her for a workshop at the Banff Center for The Arts where she studied singing under the tutorship of Norma Winstone, Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton. Before her first album, she completed her master’s degree in French literature. During her appearances in clubs and at festivals – in Europe and on the American continent – she conjures up “tiny masterpieces created before your very ears” in the words of author Hugh Fraser.
